Common questions
My city is empty / not listed. Rummage Route currently covers major US metro areas. Open Settings and check which city is selected — the app centres on the nearest covered metro, not on every town. If your area is not covered yet, you can still add your own sale from the + tab.
Why are there no sales on a weekday? There usually aren't many. Garage sales cluster on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; a quiet Tuesday map is the real picture, not a bug.
The times look wrong. When an advertisement does not state its hours, Rummage Route shows a typical 8am–3pm window. Treat it as a guide and confirm with the seller if the timing matters.
A sale was not there when I arrived. Sales get cancelled, rained off, or sold out early, and listings are refreshed once a day. Check the details before a long drive.
Location isn't working. Rummage Route asks for location only when you tap the locate button. If you declined the permission, you can re-enable it for Rummage Route in your device's app permission settings. Your coordinates stay on your device either way.
Price Estimate says it couldn't answer. That message is honest: the service was unreachable, the daily limit was hit, or the photo could not be read. Try a clearer, well-lit photo of a single item. We would rather show an error than invent a number.
How accurate is Price Estimate? It is an AI guess from one photograph — useful for a ballpark, not an appraisal. Do not use it as the only basis for a significant purchase.
Subscriptions Price Estimate is offered as a subscription with a 3-day free trial. Where the app is distributed through Google Play, billing, renewal and cancellation are handled in your Google Play account under Google's terms; cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
